Kris-this is the weird plant I was telling you about on Saturday that is right outside our aptartment, the one I have named “Snail on a Stick”. So weird.
UPDATE: My exotic “Snail on a Stick” plant is actually….drumroll…..a fern. BOR-ing. Thanks to loyal reader Brad for pointing that one out.
Today Brad and I went to the Mariner’s game. Oh, what a difference a day makes. It might have been 52 degrees today…for the high. Brrr. And, we lost.
Here are some very white girls soaking it up, it could be months before we see it again!!!
p.s. Fun Fact: Seattle hit 79 degrees today, which makes it the hottest April 12th in the history of the City of Seattle. Yep, I got goosebumps when I heard that one on the news tonight. Obsessed with weather & breaking records=SUCH a loser :(
Today was Courtney’s Bridal Shower, and WHAT-A-DAY! For some odd reason, it was 80 degrees today! Someone definitely set the day on perfect!
Today, Diggy & I went with Courtney to the Bridal Garden in Kirkland to have her final wedding dress fitting! The dress is absolutely beautiful & she looks incredible in it! I cannot wait for the wedding…one month from tomorrow! I would have loved to take a picture of her in the dress, but certain grooms are not allowed to see it… ;)
Free facials??? Yes please!
Tonight I am going to an event at the new Truce Spa at the Bellevue Westin. It is located right across the hall from my gym, how convenient! It is invitation only, and since I have an extreme One Lincoln Tower hook-up these days, I am SO in! ;)

Someone at work said that she really liked my sweater the other day. I said “Oh thanks!” Well, it turns out she liked it enough to purchase it for herself. So today, she is wearing the sweater. Normally fine of course, except that she is 7 months pregnant! Do my clothes look like maternity clothes? This reminds me of the time a couple summers ago when I bought a swimsuit cover/dress thing at Old Navy and I was so excited because it was an extra small! I was feeling pretty good about myself until I got home and realized it had been in the wrong section of the store, and I noticed that the label read “Old Navy Maternity”. That’s great, I’m an extra small…in materity clothes!!! Sad.
Oh well, I suppose I will just keep all my “maternity” clothes for whenever I am ready for babies…
BOR-ing
That pretty much sums up my weekend. Although I secretly enjoyed it quite a bit! Friday night I watched Atonement with the girls, it was fun to get together as always, but no such luck with the movie being good also. It was a strange one…confusing plot & creepy child actress. The rest of the weekend I just cleaned, organized, made a Target run, got some bridal shower invitations out, got a pedi, watched a couple movies and had a LOT of alone time! Sometimes it was so quiet in the apartment that I would turn on “Party Hits” on the Comcast music channel just for some background noise. Not so much a “party” in my apartment, but it definitely helped. On Sunday afternoon I was counting the minutes until I could pick up Brad from his weekend away! I was excited to see him of course, but also was dying just to talk to someone! ;)
Weird, it’s seriously snowing outside right now!!! What happened to Spring? Do we get one this year? Summer was obviously skipped over in ‘07, maybe Seattle is now a “winter-only” city? Is sun really too much to ask for once in awhile!???
